CHALLENGES

Enterprise voice AI company needed to scale LinkedIn outbound to match the velocity of a $60K+ ACV sales cycle

Smallest.ai operates at the frontier of voice AI, building everything from foundation models to fully custom enterprise voice agents.

It's an expensive, research-heavy business. The kind where engineering talent starts at $250K and enterprise contracts begin at $60K annually with significant upsell potential.

Samiyan Momin runs GTM at Smallest.ai, targeting VPs, CEOs, CTOs, and engineering managers at director level and above across enterprise companies.

The sales motion is almost entirely outbound.

"Being honest, 90% of my revenue has come through outbound only," Samiyan explains.

"Inbound has been very little. It's always been outbound or events going to events and picking up clients from there."

For years, cold email was the backbone of that outbound machine.

Samiyan had built deep expertise across multiple platforms, starting with SmartLead when it was still a tiny startup, eventually migrating to Instantly, and running Clay workflows for signal-based enrichment.

On the cold email side, the results were strong: a consistent 2% reply rate, which in enterprise cold email is above average.

But LinkedIn was a different story. Samiyan had purchased five permanent seats on GetSales, the LinkedIn automation tool, and spent three to four months learning the platform. Once it clicked, the results started coming but the process was brutally manual.

GetSales required building every flow chart from scratch, writing all copy by hand, and managing each step of the sequence individually.

"GetSales is more manual," Samiyan recalls.

"If you really want to build your copywriting skills, if you really want to do all of the flow charts by yourself, it's for learning GTM from scratch."

The core problem wasn't a lack of skill, it was a lack of scale. Samiyan was running separate campaigns across three LinkedIn profiles: his own, the CEO's, and an account executive's.

Each required custom copy, manual lead research, and hands-on sequence management. With enterprise deals starting at $60K and sales cycles that can stretch for months, every missed conversation represented significant lost pipeline.

What Samiyan needed was automation that didn't sacrifice the quality of his outreach. He needed something that could handle the copywriting, the personalization, and the lead qualification while he focused on closing.

"I was looking for LinkedIn outreach that could be automated; something where I don't even have to be there, that can run by itself at massive scale."

SOLUTIONS

Valley powers a competitor displacement engine that converts enterprise prospects at 100% reply rates

Samiyan discovered Valley through a recommendation.

His account executive was the early champion. "He was a big advocate for you guys,"

Samiyan recalls, "he said, 'Hey, this can work. Sam, let's just try it out.'"

The initial reaction was skepticism. Samiyan was paying effectively nothing for his five permanent GetSales seats.

Valley was $1,000 for three seats. "I was like, this is a thousand dollars for three seats. Why should I go for this?" But his account executive pushed, and they committed.

The Ramp-Up

The first few weeks required patience. Valley's AI needed time to learn Smallest.ai's ICP, value propositions, and messaging style. "It took us time," Samiyan acknowledges. "In hindsight, I think we should have kept running GetSales in parallel for the first two weeks while the engine warmed up."

But once Valley's AI was trained, the difference was immediate. "It's very good at copywriting," Samiyan notes. "I didn't have to really do a lot of copywriting after I just did it a bit and it gets the hang of how I want the copies to be sent out. Give me the intro and I'm good. I can take it to the next level from there."

The Three-Seat Strategy

Samiyan structured his Valley deployment across three accounts, each with a distinct purpose. The CEO and account executive both based in the US focused on in-person meeting conversions. Samiyan focused on booking meetings with VPs and directors who were more open to virtual conversations. This division of labor meant Valley was running personalized enterprise outreach around the clock across three different profiles.

The Competitor Displacement Workflow

The real breakthrough came when Samiyan built what he calls his "competitor displacement workflow" a campaign strategy targeting customers and followers of direct competitors like ElevenLabs.

The workflow combines Clay with Valley in a tight loop. First, Samiyan scrapes a competitor's LinkedIn network and runs the contacts through Clay to qualify them as high, medium, or low ICP. He checks against his CRM to filter out existing contacts, then uploads the refined CSV directly into Valley.

Valley then takes over qualifying each lead further into high, medium, and low fit buckets, scraping their LinkedIn profiles, and generating contextual messaging that references specific details about each prospect's company and role. "You already have the signals of who that person is, what to look at exactly," Samiyan explains.

"So we put in those points and the contextual copies that come out are really good. It just required a couple of sentences here and there, but it was really bang on."

The Post Engagement Strategy

Samiyan's second workflow leverages Valley's post engagement scraping. He feeds competitor posts into Valley, which automatically fetches the engagers, enriches their profiles, and qualifies them by ICP fit.

"Best part here is that I don't have to do any sort of Clay workflow," he notes. "Just copy paste the link to Valley and it will go ahead, fetch them out, do all the enrichment for me."

His rule is strict: only target high-ICP prospects. "Medium ICP will only take up your LinkedIn account bandwidth," Samiyan advises. "Always go for the high ICP."

Daily Workflow

The operational lift is minimal. Samiyan adds new leads in the morning, creates a campaign, then returns in the evening to review and refine the generated copy. By the next day, the campaign is live.

"Valley is much faster in terms of starting my campaigns and starting my outreach," he shares. "It's sort of like a total automation tool, you just keep adding leads, create a new campaign, and it keeps creating copies."

RESULTS

Smallest.ai achieved 100% reply rates and $2M+ in qualified enterprise pipeline with three Valley seats

The results from Samiyan's competitor displacement workflow tell the story. In his first campaign targeting 382 prospects, including customers and followers of competitors like ElevenLabs.

Valley delivered a 45% acceptance rate and a 34% response rate. Out of 382 people targeted, 131 replied. For enterprise outreach where the minimum deal size is $60K, those numbers are extraordinary.

  • Qualified pipeline generated: $2M+

  • Enterprise meetings booked per month: 8

  • Reply rate on refined campaigns: 100%

But Samiyan wasn't satisfied. He analyzed what worked, eliminated what didn't, and refined the campaign. The second run, targeting 133 ElevenLabs-adjacent leads, hit 48% acceptance and 48% reply ,a 100% reply rate among those who accepted.

"If I tell anybody I'm getting 100% reply rate, they'll be like, it's not possible," Samiyan shares.

The campaign produced four pilot conversions in under four weeks, two of which have since expanded to enterprise-level contracts.

Across all three Valley seats, Smallest.ai consistently books eight enterprise meetings per month, with an 80% show rate driven by Samiyan's pre-meeting Loom workflow.

Valley's ICP qualification feature has been critical to these results. By automatically scoring leads as high, medium, or low fit, Valley ensures that Smallest.ai's limited LinkedIn bandwidth is spent exclusively on the highest-value prospects. "That really helped," Samiyan confirms. "Valley scraped off those followers, created a list, high, medium, low. Low and medium gone, only target high. A lot of engagement there."

In total, Smallest.ai has generated over $2M in qualified pipeline through Valley, including upsell value from pilot-to-enterprise conversions. And the operational cost is a fraction of what it would take to replicate manually.

"It would take one person sitting full-time just typing replies," Samiyan estimates. "You can take the salary, compensation, time: all of that into consideration."

When colleagues ask for a LinkedIn automation recommendation, Samiyan's answer is immediate:

"There's a couple of tools in the market, but my best recommendation is Valley. Train it and forget. Upload your leads and forget."

Looking ahead, Valley sits at the core of Smallest.ai's outbound infrastructure. Samiyan describes his full stack simply: "My targeting machine is Clay, LinkedIn, and Sales Nav.

For outbound, it's Valley, Salesforce, and Instantly."

He's already planning expanded campaigns, and has publicly credited Valley in interviews and content as a central piece of his GTM engine.
