The answer up front: the people who like and comment on LinkedIn posts are the warmest outbound audience that exists - they raised their hand in public - and LinkedIn gives you no native way to export them. So the workflow is always capture, then message. The tools split three ways: capture-only (Trigify from $40/mo, Clay from $167/mo - they build the list, you bring a sender), capture-and-send (HeyReach $79/sender imports a post's reactors natively, Waalaxy from €19/mo imports commenters), and signal-to-conversation systems (Valley - that is us - which watches the signal, researches each person, and writes the message for your approval). Below: what each actually does, the manual method that costs nothing, and the LinkedIn-rules fine print nobody puts next to their pricing.
Disclosure: Valley (that is us) works this signal natively, so we are a vendor in this list. The comparison covers everyone honestly, including where a cheaper or narrower tool is the better fit.
How we know this: we run outbound for 1,000+ LinkedIn accounts and have sent 30M+ messages, most of them triggered by exactly these signals. Every tool fact below was verified September 8, 2026 against the vendor's live pages; every LinkedIn capability was checked against LinkedIn's own help documentation the same day.
Valley is an AI outbound platform that finds the people most likely to buy from you - from live buying signals, natural-language search, or your own lists - qualifies them against your ICP, researches each one, and sends personalized messages across email and LinkedIn that get 15-45% reply rates, against a category average of about 2%.

First, what LinkedIn itself allows (verified September 8, 2026)
You can SEE every reactor and commenter on any public post - click the reaction count and the full list opens, scrollable, with names and headlines. You cannot EXPORT it: there is no download for post interactions, and even Company Page analytics exports contain aggregate counts only, never identities. On very large posts, the reactor list stops loading around ~3,000 profiles. Everything beyond manual viewing therefore runs through third-party capture - which is exactly what LinkedIn's User Agreement (section 8.2) prohibits when automated. That tension is real and every honest page about this topic says so: the manual method is the only fully rules-safe path; every automated tool adds risk you should size deliberately.
The tools, by what they actually do
Tool | Captures | Sends too? | Price (verified Sep 8) |
|---|---|---|---|
Trigify | Likers + commenters, any post incl. competitors'; topic and keyword tracking | No - routes to Slack/CRM/your sender | $40/mo (4,000 credits) to $199/mo |
Clay | 'Find Post Audience' per post URL - reactions and comments | No - enriches, then pushes to a sender | Free tier; Launch from $167/mo |
PhantomBuster | Likers + commenters exports, any post (~3,000 cap) | Separate connect/message automations can chain | $69-439/mo |
TexAu | Likers + commenters extractors, cloud-run | Yes - chainable invites/messages | $79-549/mo |
HeyReach | Native import of a post's REACTORS (their own docs: not commenters) | Yes - multi-account sender | $79/mo per sender |
Waalaxy | Auto-import of COMMENTERS (likers import 'coming soon' per their blog) | Yes - invite + message campaigns | €19-69/user/mo |
Valley (us) | Post engagers on your posts and profiles you track - captured continuously, not per-URL | Yes - researches each person (200+ sources), writes in your voice, you approve every send | $149/mo billed quarterly, everything unlocked |
Two precision notes most listicles get wrong, from the vendors' own documentation: HeyReach's native post import pulls reactors only - commenters come in via CSV or a Clay/Trigify feed - and Waalaxy's likers import is still "coming soon" on its own blog; today it imports commenters. If a workflow depends on both halves of engagement, check which half your tool actually captures.
The manual playbook (free, and fully within the rules)
1. Open the post - yours or a competitor's; the lists are public either way. Click the reaction count for the full reactor list; switch comments to "Most recent."
2. Log each relevant person in a sheet: name, title, company, what they engaged with, date. Ten minutes per post once you are quick.
3. Message 1st-degree connections directly, referencing the post and the specific thing they reacted to. Send connection requests with a short note to 2nd/3rd degrees.
4. Do it within 48 hours - engagement is a timestamp, and the warmth decays fast.
Does it actually work? The honest numbers
The best citable result: a Smartlead-published case study of Trigify-sourced engagement lists reporting a 28% reply rate (19% positive) - vendor-published, but consistent with the physics. For contrast, cold email replies average ~3.4% (Instantly's benchmark data). Our own operating data across 30M+ messages puts warm, signal-based outreach at 15-45% reply rates against a ~2% category average, with methodology in our reply-rate benchmarks report. A public reaction is not a buying signal by itself - it is a timing-plus-familiarity signal, which is exactly what makes a first message land.
How to choose in 30 seconds
Manual and free: the playbook above. List-building for an existing sender stack: Trigify or Clay. One tool that captures AND sends at volume: HeyReach (reactors) or Waalaxy (commenters). The signal watched continuously, researched, written in your voice, with you approving every send: Valley. Related: turning post engagement into booked calls · tracking competitor post engagers.
FAQ
Can I export people who liked my LinkedIn post? Not natively - LinkedIn provides no export for post interactions, and Page analytics exports are aggregate-only. Third-party tools (Trigify, PhantomBuster, TexAu, Clay) capture the list via automation, which sits outside LinkedIn's user agreement - a risk to size, not ignore.
Can I see who engaged with a competitor's post? Yes - reactor and commenter lists on public posts are visible to anyone, which is what makes this the most underrated prospecting surface on LinkedIn. Full guide: competitor post engagers.
What reply rates does engager outreach get? The one published case study reports 28% replies (Smartlead x Trigify); our own 30M-message dataset shows warm signal-based outreach at 15-45% vs ~2% for cold. Treat vendor numbers as vendor numbers - including ours; that is why we published the methodology.
Is scraping post engagers against LinkedIn's rules? Automated collection is prohibited by LinkedIn's User Agreement section 8.2. Manual viewing and logging is fully allowed. Everything between is a risk decision - make it knowingly, keep volumes human, and never run tools that need your password.
How does Valley handle this signal? Valley watches engagement continuously, qualifies each engager against your ICP, researches them across 200+ sources, and drafts outreach in your voice across LinkedIn and email - you approve every message, or let vetted sequences flow. 7-day free trial, card required.
