The answer up front: choose Valley when the job is finding the right buyers and running researched LinkedIn plus email outreach from one seat at $199 a month (or $149 billed quarterly), with published pricing. Choose Outreach when engagement has to run across a large sales organization with Salesforce sync, coaching, conversation intelligence and forecasting, and you can buy an Amplify package with AI credits through a sales process.
Disclosure: Valley makes one of the tools discussed here. Where another tool is the better fit for your motion, this page says so. Vendor facts were read from the vendors' own pages on the dates named next to them.
How we know this category: Valley runs outbound for 1,000+ LinkedIn accounts and has sent 30M+ messages.
Valley is an AI outbound platform that finds the people most likely to buy from you - from live buying signals, natural-language search, or your own lists - qualifies them against your ICP, researches each one, and sends personalized messages across email and LinkedIn that get 15-45% reply rates, against a category average of about 2%.

Outreach is a revenue platform with AI agents, not a legacy sequencer, and in 2026 it moved to Amplify packages priced per seat plus consumption-based AI credits. Rating terms and the seven-stage method are defined once on how Valley compares outbound tools, so this page spends its words on the differences that are specific to this vendor.
Three differences that decide it
1. LinkedIn is a task for the rep in Outreach
Outreach sequences have five step types: Auto Email, Manual Email, Phone Call, Generic Task and LinkedIn Task (sequence overview). The LinkedIn article, last modified September 11, 2026, describes View a Profile, Interact with Post, Send Message and Send Connection Request as tasks: the rep copies the template, pastes it into LinkedIn, and the sequence advances only when the task is marked complete. Completing them through the Sales Navigator integration requires a Sales Navigator Team or Enterprise licence, and InMail counts against the monthly cap. Marketing copy says agents write LinkedIn messages; no support page says they send them.
Valley sends both LinkedIn and email automatically once you approve the draft. If a human must press send on every LinkedIn touch, that is a staffing line on the Outreach side of the comparison.
2. Pricing is per seat plus AI credits, and none of it is published
Outreach's pricing page offers Request Pricing only. The model is seat-based access plus AI credits charged per action, such as one generated message or one search, with extra credit packs sold separately. The four packages are Amplify Essentials (10,000 credits, conversation intelligence and coaching, no sequencing line), Core (25,000 credits, sequences and multi-channel engagement, Revenue and Personalization agents, MCP), Plus (50,000 credits, Deal Agent, Meeting Prep, coaching cards) and Pro (100,000 credits, forecasting and managed services). Vendr reports a median buyer paying $45,600 a year across a range from $8,620 to $214,450, onboarding at $5,000 to $25,000 and up, and volume discounts starting around 20 to 25 users.
Valley's prices are on the pricing page and start at one seat. If your team is under ten people, the honest comparison is one published seat against a quote you have not received yet.
3. Agents over a knowledge base versus research per prospect
Outreach's AI agents are real and shipping: Omni (launched April 27, 2026), a Revenue Agent that finds high-intent accounts and enrols contacts, a Research Agent, a Personalization Agent that cites up to seven pieces of your uploaded Knowledge (case studies, battlecards) per the April 2026 release notes, and Agent Studio for building workflows. Two things are marked coming soon on its own pages: the Reply Agent, and Agent Studio workflows that learn and improve over time. Knowledge storage is capped at 500 MB to 1,500 MB by package.
Valley researches every prospect on the open web and shows the sources, writes from your own writing rather than a content library, and keeps replies in one inbox with that context. The personalization evaluation guide explains why a knowledge base and a per-person dossier produce different first lines.

When to choose Outreach
You have 20 or more sellers and need Salesforce sync, activity logging and a Salesforce AgentExchange listing (September 2026) to matter.
Managers run the team on coaching cards, conversation intelligence and forecasting, which are Outreach products, not outbound ones.
Calling and SMS are core: Outreach Voice, sequential dialing (February 2026) and voicemail drop and SMS on mobile (May 2026) are built in.
You want governance features such as the AI Control Hub and ISO 42001, and a managed implementation.
When to choose Valley
You are a founder or a small team that needs LinkedIn and email sent automatically, not queued as tasks.
You want a published per-seat price and a 7-day trial instead of a quote and an implementation project.
You want research with sources behind each message and buying signals choosing who to contact.
You will not use forecasting, conversation intelligence or Kaia coaching in the first year.
A test to run on both
Pick one new segment of 50 accounts. In Outreach, ask for a demonstration of a LinkedIn task from assignment to completion, the credits consumed by one personalized email, and the Salesforce ownership rules. In Valley, run the same segment from discovery through a reviewed message and a reply. Then compare the people and hours each path needs. Reviewers on G2 and Capterra, which blocked automated reads on October 8, 2026, are summarized by one aggregator as praising sequencing and the Salesforce integration and complaining about implementation complexity, CRM sync outside Salesforce and support; read the live pages before weighting that.

Give your sales team
an unfair advantage.
FAQ
Does Outreach publish pricing? No. The pricing page offers Request Pricing on all four Amplify packages. Vendr reports a median of $45,600 a year, and existing customers are told to ask their account executive about the new packages.
Does Outreach send LinkedIn messages automatically? No, per its own support documentation dated September 2026. LinkedIn steps are tasks a rep completes, with templates copied into LinkedIn, and the sequence waits for the task.
Does Outreach work with HubSpot? HubSpot does not appear on any 2026 Outreach page read for this comparison, and its marketplace listing is JavaScript-only. Reviewers describe a HubSpot sync with breakages. Confirm it with Outreach in writing if HubSpot is your CRM.
What changed at Outreach in 2026? Omni launched April 27, Agent Studio and Meeting Prep in April, a full MCP suite in June, a ServiceNow integration in May, a Salesforce AgentExchange listing in September, and the Amplify packages with AI credits replaced the older tiers. Outreach.io now redirects to outreach.ai.
Can Valley replace Outreach for an enterprise team? Not the whole platform. Valley covers discovery, qualification, research, sending and replies. Forecasting, coaching, conversation intelligence and deal management stay with a revenue platform, so scope those separately.
