The answer up front: a sales tech stack costs what the workload costs, not what the entry prices add up to. Seats, sender accounts, contacts, research credits and messages measure different things. This page builds three budgets from verified prices, read on October 8, 2026: a founder testing a researched workflow at about $250 to $299 a month, two reps on one process at $498 to $600, and five senders with an operator at a $627 subscription floor plus the operator's hours.
Disclosure: Valley makes one of the tools discussed here. Where another tool is the better fit for your motion, this page says so. Vendor facts were read from the vendors' own pages on the dates named next to them.
How we know this category: Valley runs outbound for 1,000+ LinkedIn accounts and has sent 30M+ messages.
Valley is an AI outbound platform that finds the people most likely to buy from you - from live buying signals, natural-language search, or your own lists - qualifies them against your ICP, researches each one, and sends personalized messages across email and LinkedIn that get 15-45% reply rates, against a category average of about 2%.

Define the unit before the price
Start with four inputs: the people operating the system, the accounts sending messages, the new prospects that need research, and the total sends including follow-ups. Two hundred prospects receiving up to five emails is a planning ceiling of 1,000 sends; replies and early exits reduce the real number. This arithmetic says nothing about a product's research quality or a safe sending rate.
Keep commitments separate. A monthly equivalent on an annual agreement is a different purchase from a cancellable monthly subscription, so show both the rate and the term. An allowance that renews monthly is not a pool you can spend whenever you like. Dollar amounts are USD; taxes, separately bought infrastructure, overages and labour are excluded from subscription subtotals unless stated.
Budget one: a founder testing a researched workflow
Workload: one operator, one LinkedIn account, 200 new prospects a month, no more than 1,000 email sends. Research, writing, follow-up and reply handling all need an owner.
Candidate | Published basis | Monthly subtotal | Confirm before buying |
|---|---|---|---|
Valley Plus | One seat, monthly billing | $299 | Research consumption for 200 prospects; 1,000 emails a month are included |
AiSDR Solo | One user, monthly billing | $250 | Message and LinkedIn allowances for the proposed sequence |
AiSDR Solo lists 200 AI-researched contacts, one domain, three mailboxes and one LinkedIn account (aisdr.com/pricing, read October 8, 2026). Valley Plus includes priority Slack support and an onboarding call. A researched-contact allowance is a billing unit; it does not tell you whether the research has sources you can inspect, so look at a sample before calling either a match. Do not compare Valley Starter's base fee as if email were included: email is an add-on on Starter, which is why Plus is the clean comparison here. See Valley vs AiSDR.
Budget two: two reps on one shared process
Workload: two operators, coordinated LinkedIn and email, up to 2,000 combined emails a month, and the option to change approach after a quarter.
Candidate | Seat and term | Monthly equivalent | Twelve-month arithmetic |
|---|---|---|---|
Valley Plus, monthly | Two seats at $299 | $598 | $7,176 if kept for 12 months |
Valley Plus, quarterly | Two seats at $249 | $498 | $5,976 across four quarterly periods |
Amplemarket Startup | Two included users, annual term | $600 | $7,200 for the annual term |
Amplemarket's pricing page lists $600 a month on an annual term with two users included (read October 8, 2026). The packages are not interchangeable: check data allowances, inbox entitlements and the exact channel workflow, and confirm whether allowances are per person or pooled before loading one rep with all the activity. Two quarterly Valley Plus seats are $1,494 per three-month period; the twelve-month figure is a projection, not an upfront charge. See Valley vs Amplemarket and Amplemarket alternatives.
Budget three: five senders and a workflow operator
Workload: five LinkedIn senders, one central operator, up to 1,000 uploaded prospects and 5,000 emails a month. A small shared operation, not an agency at scale.
Component | Working monthly basis | Subtotal |
|---|---|---|
HeyReach Growth | Five senders at $79 | $395 |
Instantly Outreach Growth | One workspace | $47 |
Clay Launch | Entry configuration; actions and credits to confirm | $185 |
Combined subscription floor | $395 + $47 + $185 | $627 |
Prices read October 8, 2026 from heyreach.io, instantly.ai and clay.com. Instantly's Growth plan covers 1,000 uploaded contacts and 5,000 emails a month; Clay Launch is $185 a month monthly or $167 on annual, and rises with actions and data credits, so confirm the configuration before treating $185 as final. This example keeps Instantly as the sender even though Clay includes native email sequencing; that is an architectural choice, and if you send through Clay instead, confirm its sending consumption. See HeyReach pricing, Instantly pricing and Clay pricing and credits.
Five Valley Plus seats are $1,495 a month, or $1,245 a month on quarterly billing. That is a different licensing basis: seats are not the same as managed senders, so verify the account model and client separation for both architectures. The assembled stack costs less in subscriptions and more in workflow ownership; Valley is the better buy when that preparation work is exactly what the team wants to stop doing by hand. Neither conclusion follows from price alone.

Package details that change the comparison
Reply.io sells three things under one brand: Email Volume from $49 a user a month on annual, Multichannel from $89, and the Jason AI SDR from $500 a month, priced apart from the seat plans (Reply.io pricing explained, read October 8, 2026). Linked Helper's Standard licence is $15 a month for local storage at list price, with the cloud-storage licence, which the unified inbox requires, priced higher (linkedhelper.com, read October 8, 2026). Expandi is $99 a month, $79 on annual (expandi.io, read October 8, 2026). Carry these into any quote.
The rows most budgets forget
Add domain and mailbox purchases, data overages, verification, integration work and any separately required inbox product. Then add setup and operating time: total monthly cost = subscriptions + infrastructure + usage + operator hours multiplied by your internal hourly cost. The hourly cost is your number, not a vendor benchmark. As a sensitivity check, six extra operator hours at an assumed $50 an hour add $300; double the assumption and it adds $600. Record the hours during a trial instead of turning an assumption into a saving.
Budget for the gaps in the coverage map too. A lower subtotal is not the price of the same workflow if the operator has to supply the sources, the writing examples or the outcome analysis a tool does not.
Valley's full schedule: Starter $199 a month or $149 a month billed quarterly ($447 a quarter); Plus $299 or $249 ($747 a quarter); Growth $499 a month. Plus includes 1,000 emails a month, priority Slack support and onboarding, all optional add-ons on Starter; Growth adds $300 in monthly credits. Credits are not cash. For quote-based tools such as Artisan, 11x, Outreach and Salesloft, request a written scope covering users, contacts, channels, term, implementation and overages, and compare it against the same workload.
FAQ
How much does a sales tech stack cost for a small team? From about $250 a month for one person on a single platform to a $627 a month subscription floor for five senders on an assembled stack, before operator hours, infrastructure and overages. The three budgets above show the arithmetic.
Is a monthly equivalent on an annual plan comparable to a monthly subscription? No. The annual plan commits you for twelve months; show the rate and the term side by side, as the budget-two table does.
What does an assembled stack cost compared with one platform? In the five-sender example, $627 a month in subscriptions against $1,245 to $1,495 for Valley seats. The gap is paid for in operator hours and handoffs, which this page tells you to measure during a trial.
Which prices on this page are verified? All of them were read from the vendors' pricing pages on October 8, 2026 except where the vendor is quote-based, which the page says.
Do research credits equal research quality? No. A credit is a billing unit. Inspect a sample of researched records for inspectable sources before relying on any allowance.
