The answer up front: choose Valley for one campaign workflow that runs from buyer discovery through research to replies on LinkedIn and email, from one seat at $199 a month (or $149 billed quarterly). Choose Reply.io when one of its packages fits exactly: Email Volume from $49 a user a month on annual billing for email only, Multichannel from $89 with LinkedIn, calls and SMS included, or Jason AI SDR from $500 a month on annual billing when you want an agent that sources, writes and answers.
Disclosure: Valley makes one of the tools discussed here. Where another tool is the better fit for your motion, this page says so. Vendor facts were read from the vendors' own pages on the dates named next to them.
How we know this category: Valley runs outbound for 1,000+ LinkedIn accounts and has sent 30M+ messages.
Valley is an AI outbound platform that finds the people most likely to buy from you - from live buying signals, natural-language search, or your own lists - qualifies them against your ICP, researches each one, and sends personalized messages across email and LinkedIn that get 15-45% reply rates, against a category average of about 2%.

Reply.io is several products under one brand, and the first mistake buyers make is comparing its cheapest email plan while picturing Jason's research and reply handling. Rating terms and the seven-stage method are defined once on how Valley compares outbound tools, so this page spends its words on the differences that are specific to this vendor.
Three differences that decide it
1. The package decides the features
On Reply's pricing page, read on October 8, 2026 together with the vendor's machine-readable pricing file (last modified July 30, 2026): LinkedIn automation is a $69 a month per-account add-on on Email Volume, is included on Multichannel at one account per user, and comes bundled with Jason (two LinkedIn accounts on the $500 Starter tier). Calls and SMS are $29 a month per account on Email Volume and included on Multichannel. An AI-generated ICP exists only on the AI SDR plans, which are sold through a demo call rather than self-serve. SOC 2 reporting is on Multichannel, AI SDR and Agency, not on Email Volume.
Valley has one product. Signals, research, LinkedIn and email, approval and replies are on every plan; what changes between Starter, Plus and Growth is email volume, support and credits.
2. Research and voice: Jason has them, the cheaper plans do not
Jason researches each prospect across LinkedIn and company sites, shows source links per message, writes in 50 or more languages and lets you choose the model (Claude, Gemini, Mistral or OpenAI). Jason 4.0 (May 7, 2026) added nine sourcing methods and ICP scoring; Jason 4.5 (August 3, 2026) turns repeated edits into AI Learnings with a Custom Playbook. It can run in approval mode or send and answer on its own. Below Jason, every plan has an AI sequence builder, AI variables, icebreakers and AI reply categorization, but not the per-prospect research.
Valley researches every prospect on every plan, writes from your own writing, and keeps a human approval on each send. If Jason's automatic mode is what you want, Reply is the one offering it; if you want research without a $500 a month floor, that is Valley's side.
3. What you are metered on
Reply counts active contacts: unique people who receive a first-step email in a billing month, with unlimited follow-ups (limits article). Email Volume tiers run from 1,000 contacts at $49 to 100,000 at $899 on annual billing; mailboxes are capped by tier (25 at 1,000 contacts), each paid mailbox sends up to 400 emails a day, and extra mailboxes are $29 a month. LinkedIn runs under published safety limits: default random ranges of 25 to 35 actions a day per action type, 35 to 50 for messages, raisable to 100, with 60 to 120 second delays. Reviewers on G2 note that email and LinkedIn steps cannot run in parallel and that reply detection does not always pull a contact out of a sequence.
Valley is per seat; the limits that matter are LinkedIn's own, which Valley sends within. The reply-rate benchmarks show what those volumes return.

Reply's page carries two inconsistencies worth knowing: the Agency plan shows $210 a month on its card and $166 in the comparison table, and the page still cites 1,448 G2 reviews against 1,560 on G2 itself. Reply.io pricing explained walks every tier and add-on.
When to choose Reply.io
Email volume is the job and you have the contacts: Email Volume is cheaper per seat than anything else in this comparison.
You want a dialer and SMS in the same sequence; Cloud Calls and a Power Dialer landed on October 6, 2026.
You want an agent that sources, writes and answers without a human in the loop, and can fund Jason at $500 a month on an annual term.
Your CRM is HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Copper, Zendesk Sell or Close, all native and bi-directional.
When to choose Valley
You want per-prospect research and a learned writing style without buying the AI SDR tier.
LinkedIn and email should run as one campaign chosen by buying signals, not as two step types in a sequence.
You want to approve each message and read the sources behind it.
One seat, monthly, with a 7-day trial is the commitment you are ready for.
A test to run on both
An implementation partner wants meetings with operations leaders replacing their CRM. Give both tools the same 50 accounts. In Reply, name the package being demonstrated and whether Jason or a person owns replies. In Valley, read five prospect records, the drafts and the campaign inbox. Send one negative reply and confirm both tools suppress that person across channels. Then compare edits per message and replies after two weeks.

Give your sales team
an unfair advantage.
